Who We Are

I know what you are thinking.  “Georgetown Beard Club?  What the heck is that?”  But hear us out.  The Georgetown Beard Club is comprised of men with hairy faces.  Go figure.  But we are much more than that.

First and foremost, we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  At our core, though, we are simply a congregation of Georgetown and Williamson County citizens who have and/or appreciate facial hair and who are just looking to make our community a better place one small step at a time.  We do this by working with or on behalf of local non-profit and other organizations in need to help them carry out their respective missions.

Support from the Georgetown Beard Club can take various forms.  We can show up and lend a hand like we did when helping Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County raise the walls for one of the many homes they build for deserving Williamson County families.

We are sometimes blessed to be able to provide financial assistance to organizations whose mission we support.  There’s certainly no shortage of worthy organizations in Williamson County.  Organizations like the Playful Child Foundation which seeks to turn tragedy into an opportunity to educate the public and honor the memory of a child tragically lost too soon by building a park accessible to children of all abilities and further to provide a space that allows everyone the opportunity to play, relax, remember, and honor children who now live in our hearts and memories.

When funds aren’t readily available, we often put on our own fundraisers, big and small, to raise money in order to support the organizations we love, like Make-A-Wish, Veteran Outdoors, our local Special Olympics teams, and the Boys & Girls Club of Georgetown.

Making An Impact

Through the tireless efforts of our members, the Georgetown Beard Club has made a significant impact in our community:

$40,000+
More than $40,000 given to charitable causes
3
Life-changing wishes granted for three local children battling critical illnesses
10
Ten different charities supported
20+
More than twenty fundraisers organized to support local charities
3,000+
Man (and woman) hours spent serving our community

While we would like to take all of the credit for doing these things, the truth is, we could not do them without the generous support of the individuals and businesses that make Georgetown and Williamson County such a wonderful place to live and work.

Who Can Join?

With a name like the Georgetown Beard Club, you might expect to find the burliest of beards and the manliest of mustaches – and without a doubt, we have them.  But at the end of the day, so long as you want to make an impact locally by supporting the numerous worthy causes  championed by our friends and neighbors here in Georgetown and Williamson County, everyone is welcome to join our club – man, woman, or child.
