Rotary Club of Georgetown – Field of Honor

The Georgetown Beard Club is proud to be participating as an affiliate of the Rotary Club of Georgetown’s Field of Honor®.

Photographer Rudy Ximenez artfully captures the splendor of the Field of Honor®

The Mission of the Field of Honor® is to HONOR and BENEFIT Active and Reserve Duty Military, Veterans, and 1st Responders, to INSPIRE patriotism and love of our flag and its heritage, to EDUCATE our children that visit during school field trips, and to UNIFY our communities in respectfully honoring our flag, our country, and our military, veterans, and 1st responders.  More than 1,500 full-sized American flags will be set up in perfect rows and columns honoring veterans and first responders for a week-long event November 9-17 in Georgetown, TX’s San Gabriel Park.

The proceeds from the 2019 Field of Honor® Flag Sales will directly benefit veteran and first responder organizations that address suicide prevention, PTSD, and support veterans and 1st responder families.

You don’t have to know a hero to honor him or her.  New for this year, you can “adopt a local hero” by purchasing a flag or flags for any branch of the military or first responders. The flags and dedication tags will be sent to the respective branch of service leadership at the end of the event to award to deserving heroes.  That is truly meaningful to those who serve that did not have a flag personally dedicated to them. ADOPT A LOCAL HERO TODAY! There are many organizations partnered with the Rotary Club of Georgetown for this year’s Field of Honor® and the Georgetown Beard Club is proud to count itself among them.  Contact your local beard club member today to order a flag for your hero.  Alternatively, you can order online at  Be sure to let them know you are purchasing a flag through the Georgetown Beard Club.
